What is cosmetic acupuncture?
Cosmetic Acupuncture is an effective, anti-aging treatment to reduce the signs of aging. Unlike other popular cosmetic treatments like botox, peeling agents, fat transfer or thread lifting, cosmetic acupuncture does not require the injection of foreign substances into the skin. Cosmetic Acupuncture involves the insertion of extremely thin disposable needles into the acupuncture points in the 12 meridian systems in the face and other part of the body. It is based on the principles of Chinese Medicine (TCM), which stresses “health inside makes beauty outside.” It stimulates our own body’s reaction to induce changes that are natural and do not appear artificial.
Course of treatment
A 10-session course of treatment is recommended at a frequency of 2 times per week for optimal results. Each session lasts 90 minutes. After the course of treatment, maintenance sessions are followed, once a week for 4 weeks as required, then once every 2 weeks are common.
When will effect be seen?
Visible, lasting effective results are typically noticeable after 5-7 sessions. Each individual’s response is unique depending on age and lifestyle. Maintenance may be needed for long term benefit. The results would last for 3-5 years.
